The FCO, a National Asset

The FCO stands for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is by definition a government department in which the responsibility is to promote British interests overseas and supporting the citizens and businesses around the world. The FCO is an influential member of the most important international organizations such as the United Nations, NATO and the European Union. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is a national asset that the UK government really takes a good care of. The FCO protects the United Kingdom citizens who are travelling or living abroad. It is the organization that makes them feel like home. With the influential membership it has, the FCO has a wide and powerful links to almost every country around the globe. This enables the FCO to represents the United Kingdom government and gives an true protection to the citizen and the businesses.

The uncertainty in the political and economical atmosphere around the world these days make people think twice to travel abroad. Terrorist attacks are haunting and no one can make sure that a country is free from terrorism. Ever since the 9/11 tragedy, nobody can guarantee that terrorism would not happen again.
