A Special Brew Requires a Special Pint Glass

A pint glass comes in different dimensions and forms depending on the country where it is used and the brew that it holds. The standard pint glass holds 10oz of liquid and is broad at the top and narrows down to the bottom. German beers are usually served in the krug or dimple pint glass. This type of beer mug is normally used in typical old-style taverns and has a sturdy handle. The expansive top brings out the strong flavor of the beer and they are usually made from earthenware or stoneware.

The British imperial pint glass holds 20oz of beer and has a distinctive curved lip. A nucleated pint glass has impressions at the bottom that will preserve the beer in the glass for a longer period. Such importance is placed on the shape of the pint glass because when beer is poured out, oxygenation takes place and to get the best taste from the particular brand, the pint glass must have the required shape. Anyone who is to be married can give engraved beer mugs to their groomsmen. This gift from one guy to another spells love in a manly and not mushy way and they will treasure it for life.
